PM
invites Turkish businessmen
to invest in Pakistan
Sept 18 (APP): Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz
Sharif Wednesday invited the top executives of Turkish companies to invest in
Pakistan in projects of low cost housing, energy, infrastructure and urban
development. The Prime Minister was talking during a meeting with chairmen and
chief executive officers of TAV, ALBAYRAK, LIMAK, Baynder, STFA and Zorlu Enerji. The Turkish
businessmen showed keen interest to invest in Pakistan and they were assured,
by the Prime Minister, of business friendly policies and initiatives of the
government. The businessmen expressed satisfaction with the level of personal
commitment shown by the Prime Minister towards taking steps for economic
revival of Pakistan.
The Prime Minister also performed soft
inauguration of Zorlu Energy’s Wind
Power Plant that has the capacity to generate over 50 MW electricity.
Located at Jhimpir near Karachi, the
power generated from this project has been added to the national grid, which
will help reduce power shortage in the country.
