Kashmiris' sacrifices not to be allowed go waste: Yasin

In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, Muhammad Yasin Malik, has said that the unparalleled sacrifices rendered by the Kashmiri people will not be allowed to go waste. According to Kashmir Media Service, Muhammad Yasin Malik addressing a gathering in Lolab area of Kupwara said that the Kashmiris' voice could not be stifled through use of brute force and their struggle would ultimately reach its logical conclusion.  Yasin Malik also visited the residence of noted human rights activist, Muhammad Ahsan Un too, and condoled with him the death of his daughter.

The veteran Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani, in a statement in Srinagar condemned the threats hurled by Station House Officer of Nowgam Police Station to the Hurriyet leader, Raja Miraj-ud-Din, and his wife. Raja Meraj-ud-Din was arrested on Thursday and lodged in Nowgam Police Station. Syed Ali Gilani said that the SHO had threatened to kill the detained leader in a fake encounter and implicate his family members in false cases. He said that the officer would be responsible if anything untoward happened to Raja Meraj-ud-Din.

The All Parties Hurriyet Conference leader, Zafar Akbar Butt, addressing public gatherings in different areas of Badgam in connection with the mass contact campaign stressed the need of settling the Kashmir dispute as per the relevant UN resolutions for ensuring permanent peace in South Asia.

The Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League in a statement in Srinagar expressed serious concern over the continued illegal detention of its Vice Chairman, Masarrat  Aalam Butt, who is lodged at Srinagar central jail on judicial remand.

The Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Movement organized a special function in the memory of hundreds of thousands of Jammu Martyrs who were butchered by the forces of Dogra Maharaja, Indian Army and Hindu fanatics in the first week of November in 1947. The survivors narrated heartrending accounts of how their family members were mercilessly massacred during the carnage.
