Yasin urges world to help settle
Kashmir dispute
Srinagar:
The Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), Muhammad Yasin Malik
has urged the international community to fulfill responsibilities and settle
the Kashmir dispute. Muhammad Yasin Malik addressing a mammoth public gathering
at Kangan Chowk on Friday said that Kashmiris on the persuasion of
international community left violent means and started a non-violent struggle
in 2008 but it didn't help in resolution of the lingering dispute. He said that the unresolved Kashmir dispute
could disturb the regional peace, adding that India and the international
community would have to take some positive steps to resolve Kashmir dispute
according to the wishes, aspirations and sacrifices of Kashmiris. Referring to
the so-called assembly of Kashmir and its members, he said that the assembly
and its members were actually the worst enemies of Kashmir and Kashmiris. It is
this assembly and its members who safeguard the interests of India and its
forces in Kashmir, he added. Yasin Malik said the hypocritical behaviour of
assembly members be it independent candidates or those who belong to pro-Indian
parties is evident from the fact that they all cry against the black law, Armed
Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) but do nothing to eradicate it.He appealed to
all to forge unity and brotherhood and defeat all the forces who want to divide
the people of Kashmir on the basis of religion, sect, colour, creed, region and
caste.Earlier, Yasin Malik and other leaders were accorded a warm welcome on
arrival in Kangan and people who included enthusiastic youth in large numbers
welcomed Yasin Malik and his delegation.
