All love China

Most tourists visiting Pakistan usually find the people of this country very friendly, gracious and extremely welcoming. They say they feel at home here. There are so many reasons behind this: one being the caring attitude of Pakistanis and another one is certainly the easily available food of one’s choice. In the food streets of Pakistan, a foreigner can easily opt for restaurants which offer Japanese, Russian, American and above all the Chinese food of various types. From different types of salads to pizzas, pastas, soups and drinks of international quality are available here. But the expertise and skill of the Pakistani cooks in making Chinese food is matchless. The popularity of the Chinese food in Pakistan could be well imagined by the fact that even in the far-flung mountainous areas of FATA and Baluchistan and the desert villages of Sindh, everyone is well acquainted with chicken-corn soup and the Chinese fried-rice. What makes these food items so popular in Pakistan; one may think. The answer is certainly their taste; but another thing that adds a lot of attraction to this taste is love and affection of the Chinese people which they have been showering upon the people of Pakistan since long. Though the international conspirators have so many times tried their best to create misunderstandings between the two countries but they never succeeded in achieving their evil desire to distort the Himalaya-high relationship between Pakistan and China.I remember it was 18th of last July 2011 when some terrorists attacked a police station of Xingjian province in China which borders Pakistan. The attack claimed lives of more than 18 innocent people. Soon after the attack, the Western and Indian media started spreading disinformation that the suspects involved in this attack had been trained in Pakistan. But this propaganda didn’t work because the Chinese hi-ups are very well aware of the fears and apprehensions of India and the Western countries regarding China’s brilliant possibilities of becoming the World’s only superpower, so they never fell prey to such conspiracies. China knows it very well that in this region Pakistan is the only country which it could call a true and time-tested friend. Weakening China means weakening Pakistan and vice versa. Most impartial analysts view that the so-called US’ war on terror has been planned just to hit the expected supremacy of China in the region.
The international forces want to invade that country through Pakistan. To achieve their ulterior motives, they are spreading the fire of terrorism in Pakistan so that its blazing flames could one day reach China and become a challenge to its supremacy by burning its peace and prosperity to ashes. As we all know, propaganda is now-a-days a more lethal weapon than guns and bullets, the ill wishing friends of Pakistan and China are trying to use this weapon in all possible manners. The target is nothing but to create misunderstandings between Pakistan and China so that these two countries might not transform into a threat to the hegemonic designs of India and US in the near future. For the last few months, different Western media groups with a particular bent of mind are trying to give the world an impression that China is having some reservations regarding Pakistan about East Turkistan Islamic Movement (ETIM). Though Pakistan has already added the name of ETIM to its list of proscribed terrorist organizations but the impression being conveyed to the world is that Pakistan added this name on the pressure of China. ETIM consist of three different Islamists groups including Turkistan Islamic Party, the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan and the Islamic Jihad Union. Somewhere in the middle of last year 2013, a video clip was also uploaded at different websites in which some young children were shown firing handguns, AK-47 assault rifles and machine guns at a training camp which was claimed to be located in the North Waziristan. According to that video clip, the camp was being run by ETIM in Pakistani territory.
Unfortunately, few Pakistani analysts are also playing in the hands of these Western conspirators, knowingly or unknowingly. Last week an analytical review by a very senior journalist was published in an Urdu newspaper. The learned journalist suggested to the Government of Pakistan that it ‘should not place all eggs in Chinese basket’ because according to him Chinese were likely to cheat. It is also a form of propaganda that Pak-China relations are being portrayed as simple trade relations. Some of the ‘patronized’ analysts are trying to convince the world that investment in the field of trade and commerce does not mean strengthening of friendship. They say, China has invested in so many other regional countries, including India and Afghanistan, so there is nothing special about Pak-China friendship. Let us wait and see; time will decide what the actual nature of Pak-China relations is. Whether it is simply a trade relationship based on monetary loss and profit or something more sublime and more serene like sincere friendship? But the crux of the matter will always be the same; Pakistan is proud of being in the sweet company of China.
